Kareena Kapoor feels that she has managed to strike the right balance between commercial and meaningful cinema. The actress likes doing different roles and can’t do just those films where she is looking pretty and singing and dancing. The actress considers her debut film ‘Refugee’ (2000), a special one because she always wanted to prove herself as an actress and not to just as a glam doll. Bebo further says films like ‘Refugee’, ‘Chameli’, ‘Omkara’, ‘Jab We Met’, ’3 Idiots’ and ‘Kurbaan’ – all have been very different. She doesn’t think that any other actress has been able to do such a variety of roles in such a short journey.

Meanwhile Karan Johar has asked Kareena to lose weight and chop off her hair to fit in the character of his next film ‘Short Term Shaadi’ opposite Imran Khan. But Bebo denies it, saying that she isn’t going to lose weight. Besides, she says that she is not going to lose weight for anyone. The actress made this comment during the promotion of her forthcoming flick ‘We Are Family’. The film is releasing on 3rd September. However, she confirms having gained a little weight recently, but doesn’t regret it.
