Shooting in the bone-chilling weather of Ladakh left the dainty Kareena Kapoor gasping for breath.

The whole crew of 3 idiots , including lead actors Aamir Khan , Madhavan and Sharman Joshi along with Kareena were at Pangong Lake, Ladakh. The place is 13,900 feet above sea level, where tourists generally face breathing problems because of lack of oxygen and many even faint due to altitude sickness. And there was the whole unit of the movie, shooting in the inhospitable terrain without proper oxygen, no electricity and no hot water.

Kareena was the only female in the unit, but she was courageous enough to tackle such circumstances. To make things difficult, Bebo had to shoot in wedding attire and was dressed in a heavy ghagra-choli for the scene, without much protection from the cold. Her thermal inner-wear wasn’t of much help either.

But Bebo braved it all because it’s a film close to her heart. She admits having a ball with the idiots – that is the three men of the movie, Aamir, Madhavan and Sharman. And she’s equally thrilled to be working with director Rajkumar Hirani whom she calls a “gem”.

Bebo finished the shoot in Ladakh earlier this week and is in Delhi for her dear sis Karisma’s birthday and will soon fly back to Mumbai for her movie Kambakkht Ishq ’s release.

‘3 Idiots’, based on Chetan Bhagat’s bestseller novel ‘Five Point Someone’, is planned for a year-end release.
