Unfortunately, the Saifeena couple who had publicly announced their togetherness at the Lakme Fashion Week last October, sent out all the wrong signals at IIFA. To start with, the duo did not hit Bangkok together, Saif couldn’t be spotted in the audience when Kareena performed on stage, he was not there to cheer her lady when she received the Best Actress Award and Bebo didn’t find him important enough for even a mention in her acknowledgement speech. Instead she said (mark it guys!), “I want to thank three most important people for this award- director Imtiaz Ali, producer Ashtavinayak and…. the most important person, my co-star Shahid Kapoor.”

The gossip mills are working overtime when it comes to the IT couple of Bollywood – Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor. Every second day too much newsprint is being devoted to incorrect stories on them. Obviously, it is uncalled for and it has reached a stage where both of them are upset about this. Recently, there were reports on Saif and Kareena having a spat at a recent awards function. According to one report, the fight was over Kareena’s ‘revealing’ costumes. According to another, the fight was over Saif leaving the function early. A source close to both the actors reveals, “This is getting extremely out of hand and upsetting. No one bothers to clarify anything with him or her and choose to write whatever they want to. It is about time Bebo and Saif spoke up and put a stop to it.”

It was a Pakistani fan of Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor who leaked the information about trouble in paradise. Kareena was in Bangkok where she was to perform at an awards function. Says an industry insider, “The guy was waiting near Kareena Kapoor’s van to get an autograph from the couple. Saif arrived at the event at about 6 pm and went straight into the van and was there with Kareena for about three hours. This Pakistani fan, who was waiting outside, heard Saif complaining to Kareena about her outfit she was planning to wear for her performance. Kareena kept on pacifying Saif asking him not to make an issue of it. The actor, it is learnt, did not want Kareena to wear a revealing outfit for her performance at the event.”

Size zero actress Kareena Kapoor will not be able to celebrate her birthday with boyfriend Saif Ali Khan. Instead the actress will be shooting for Raj Kumar Hirani’s 3 Idiots.The actress who brings in her 28th birthday on September 21, will be in Ladakh, shooting for the film with actor Aamir Khan. She will definitely not have time to fly down to Mumbai and attend a birthday bash, as is being speculated by some.
