Actress Kareena Kapoor turned down director Raj Kumar Gupta’s (who directed Aamir) film where she was asked to play Jessica Lal in ‘No One Killed Jessica’. Kareena said that she could not accept the offer as she could not connect with the character. She is more likely to do films like ‘Kurbaan’ which is based on the present socio-political theme.

She said, “I want to do meaty parts with off-mainstream directors like Dibakar Banerjee and Raj Kumar Gupta. But the roles have to justify my presence. I can’t do a bit part in an offbeat film just to prove I can act. Right now, I’m shooting for Stepmom and can’t think of anything. Not even Saif’s film, which is like my own home production.”

The final schedule of Raju Hirani’s ‘3 Idiots’, which will start on September 21, is special for more reasons than one. Apart from shooting a couple of pending scenes, this schedule will also can the only romantic song in the film with Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor. And if sources are to be believed, Aamir’s wife, Kiran Rao is set to be a part of the song. No, she isn’t acting in the film but will be present on the sets as a keen observer.
