By far the biggest hit of the year is undoubtedly Rajkumar Hirani’s latest magnum opus ‘3 Idiots’. The film has witnessed unprecedented opening collections including the paid preview collections.

Besides ‘3 Idiots’, there were only ten out of the 240 plus films made in Hindi during the year, which proved to be hits.

They were ‘Love Aaj Kal’, ‘Kaminey’, ‘All The Best’, ‘Wanted’, ‘De Dana Dan’, ‘New York’, ‘Wake Up Sid’, ‘Raaz- The Mystery Continues’, ‘Dev D’, ‘Paa’ and last but not the least ‘Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani’.

It is said that the film has the highest viewership rating on DTH and has grossed over 21 crores so far. It may be recalled that UTV had sold the satellite rights ofthe film just within three days on the release of the film at the theatres.

Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor romanced on the 125th floor of a hotel in Melbourne for their forthcoming romantic movie Main Aurr Mrs Khanna.

“Usually the Australian government doesn’t allow such film shootings to take place in the Realto hotel, that too on the 125th floor. But when they found out that it was none other than Salman and Kareena who were going to shoot there, they readily agreed,” said a source.

“The view from the 125th floor was breathtaking and overlooked nearly the whole of Melbourne. Most of the romantic scenes between Salman and Kareena have been shot here since the location was important to the scene,” added the source.

Sources say that Salman treats the entire star cast, who are a part of his brother’s production house with utmost care and that was the reason for his magnanimity towards Kareena.
