Various artists like Kareena Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan and Katrina Kiaf set the stage on fire with their performances.

The Stardust ‘Best Film and Director’ 2010 Award went to film “Chintuji” while Preity Zinta bagged ‘Best Actress’ for her film “Videsh”.

Amitabh Bachchan took the ‘Star of the Year’ award for his mind-blowing performance in “Paa” whereas Kareena Kapoor grabbed ‘Star of the Year Female’ for her films “Kurbaan” and “3 Idiots”.

It is learnt from reliable sources that Kareena Kapoor has finally patched up with the Bachchans now. Few days back it was wrongly reported in a Mumbai tabloid that the actress had ignored Amitabh Bachchan at an event completely.

Infact a very close friend of the actress told us that Kareena is one person who will never do so in public. “She knows how to balance her professional life and personal life. She has never shown any animosity towards them. She has been born and brought up in this industry and the question of showing disrespect for the elders will never arise.” the close friend said.

It’s flattering. And it’s scary. Lots of responsibilities. My power comes from my honesty to myself and to my work. Recently, Headlines Today a TV channel, did a half hour program where they sensationalised an innocuous incident at a function that I was at, stating how Kareena Kapoor had snubbed me, by not giving me a look or even greeting me. It is extremely disturbing to see and hear untruthful reportage, dished out to the public with malicious intent by the media. I wish to put the record straight with this photograph -
Kareena and all other members of her family and ours have always given due respect to each other, irrespective of what the circumstances may have been, or what circumstances the media keeps harping on in most nauseating fashion. She is a warm and affectionate person and has never ever given reason for us to feel otherwise. It has been disgusting to see the way this particular TV channel went about building a most reprehensible story around her and her attitude towards us….(and the story goes on)

MUMBAI: The Stardust Awards 2009 was held on Sunday, 15 February, 2009 in Mumbai. The who’s who of the industry was present at these awards. Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan with Amar Singh, Anil Kapoor, Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna, Rekha, Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor, Ashutosh and Sunita Gowariker, Farhan Akhtar, Boney and Sridevi Kapoor, Kangana Ranaut and Adhyayan Suman, Amrita Rao, Asin, Neha Dhupia, Koena Mitra, Abbas-Mustan, Anu Malik, Genelia D’Souza and many more graced the red carpet.

Even as he congratulated AR Rahman, Resul Pookutty and Gulzar for their Oscar win, a disturbed Amitabh Bachchan has lashed out against “untruthful”

reports saying actress Kareena Kapoor had “snubbed him”, by not “giving him a look or greeting him”.

He wrote from Hyderabad, “I learn of the great achievements of our Indian technicians and music directors at the Oscars. My warmest and heartiest congratulations to AR Rahman and Resul for winning recognition in music and sound and to Gulzar for co-assisting Rahman in the lyric category.
