Of late we have seen a number of Bollywood celebrities making their presence felt on the small screen. From Amitabh Bachchan to Shahrukh Khan, Akshay Kumar to Priyanka Chopra, a string of big ticket celebs have been seen on reality shows on television in the recent past. Following on their footsteps, many B-town A-listers are now trying their hands on the small screen.

Here, we present you a bevy of Bollywood A-listers, who will be seen making their TV debut soon.

Hrithik Roshan: Actor Hrithik Roshan who till date was seen wooing his female fans on big screen is now all set for his television debut as a judge in a dance reality show. Hrithik, who is himself an amazing dancer, will be accompanied by choreographers Farah Khan and Vaibhavi Merchant as the juries for the show. Interestingly, industry insiders claim that Hrihtik who is making his television debut with the show is indeed the highest paid actor on television in current time. To be air on Star Plus, ‘Just Dance’ will begin from May 19th. 2011.

Sanjay Dutt: Another actor who is also said to make his debut in television world is Sanjay Dutt in the third season of Dus Ka Dum. Though the third season of the show has not yet been confirmed yet, talks are doing the round that Sanjay has been approached by the producers to host the game show. While Salman Khan who hosted the first two seasons moved out of the third season due to financial differences with the channel. Sources also revealed that Salman is very close to Sanju and is keen to see him host the show.

Sunny Deol: After delivering hit film ‘Yamla Pagla Deewana’ this year, Sunny Deol is all set to make his television debut as a judge on an upcoming stunt-based show ‘Jaanbaaz’. The show is about daring stuntmen who put their life at risk for their profession. The actor will shoot 33 episodes. When asked, Sunny confirmed the news saying, he is really looking forward to his new journey on TV and would ake every possible effort to present it an entertaining way.

Kareena Kapoor: Kareena Kapoor will soon make her small screen debut with a fashion-based reality show that will see her help contestants put together a wardrobe. The show offered to Kareena will see her sharing her fashion tips with the participants. She will also be doling out makeovers. Buzz is there that if Bebo gives her green signal to the show, she will be showered with the biggest amount ever offered to a female celebrity host. It is rumoured that her remuneration would be Rs. 1 crore per episode.

Kapoor, is facing neck-to-neck competition for the ‘Leading Role Female’ actress award at the 12th Annual International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) ceremony scheduled to be held in Toronto June 23-25.
Apart from Bollywood’s other top two beauties – Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Katrina Kaif – Kapoor is also facing tough rivalry from Vidya Balan and newcomer Anushka Sharma.

Kapoor has been nominated for her unusual tomboyish character in Rohit Shetty’s romantic comedy thriller Golmaal 3.

The film’s earlier two serials were also hits at the box office and liked all around the world for its different but extraordinary comedy.

Kapoor played the lead role in the movie against Bollywood star Ajay Devgn supported by evergreen disco dancer Mithun Chakraborty, Arshad Warsi, Sharman Joshi, Tushar Kapoor, Johnny Lever, Shreyas Talpade, Kunal Khemu, Sanjay Mishra, Ratna Pathak and Ashwini Khalsekar.

Born into the famous Kapoor family, Kareena is the daughter of Randhir Kapoor and Babita and sister of all-time hot and sexy Karishma Kapoor.

She made her acting debut in the 2000 film Refugee and since then has achieved as many as six Filmfare Awards.

Recently Kareena outsmarted hot actresses like Katrina Kaif, Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra to win Stardust’s 2011 sexiest woman title.

However, in the race for the prestigious IIFA Award for the ‘leading female role’, Kapoor is facing tough competition from megastar Amitabh Bachchan’s daughter-in-law and former Miss Universe Aishwarya Rai, for her classic role in Guzaarish, and former sexiest woman Katrina Kaif for her character in Ranjeeti.

Newcomer Anushka Sharma, who worked with superstar Shah Rukh Khan in Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, poses yet another threat for Kareena, for Sharma has also been nominated for her masti-filled lead role in Band Baaja Baaraat released in December 2010.

Produced by Aditya Chopra and directed by Maheesh Sharma, Band Baaja Baaraat is full of mauj, masti and dhamaal. Anushka Sharma plays a 20-year graduate and ambitious girl who wants to start her own wedding planning business.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who once again appeared with Hrithik Roshan in Bhansali’s extremely emotional and heart-breaking film Guzaarish, is the biggest threat for Kareena Kapoor. Rai played a truly classic and very special role.

In Guzaarish, she was seen as the nurse of Hrithik Roshan, a magician who becomes a quadriplegic when a trick goes wrong.

But Kareena Kapoor stays the front-runner as one of the most popular Bollywood celebrities, and her performances have always raised her to establish her as a style icon for young girls and women. This should be one interesting race.

Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan will be in Delhi shortly after the Holi weekend to shoot the climax scene of Saif’s home production Agent Vinod.

The Delhi schedule will be followed by schedules in London, UAE, and finally Russia.

Kareena’s other ongoing projects include Bodyguard with co-star Salman Khan, Short Term Shaadi with Imran Khan, and Reema Kagti’s Next with co-stars Aamir Khan and Rani Mukerji.

Saif recently wrapped filming for Prakash Jha’s Aarakshan in Bhopal, with co-stars Amitabh Bachchan and Deepika Padukone.

Agent Vinod, a spy thriller directed by Sriram Raghvan, began production in May 2010 with schedules in India, Morocco and France.

The director had earlier indicated that an hour of footage is ready. The remaining three schedules are big action sequences, expensive and vfx heavy.

Saif and Kareena will be undergoing training for a crucial night chopper scene. George A. Aguilar (The Scarlet Letter) and his team from the US will be designing the sequence.

The film is scheduled for release on December 9.

Actor Kareena Kapoor will soon be among the few lucky Bollywood actors who have had books written on them. Only the top rung actors of Bollywood such as Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan have had a few books written on them The book on Kareena will be penned by author Shobhaa De and will talk about

“Kareena has a pretty unique positioning in the movie industry. She is in a league of her own… not one amongst the herd. I like her spunk and individuality. Interestingly, Shobhaa and Kareena have met several times to discuss the project, and Kareena, who was last seen in Rohit Shetty’s 2010 release Golmaal 3, is seemingly excited about the same too.

The book will reportedly be on the lines of an acclaimed book based on Victoria Beckham.

It will trace how Kareena Kapoor became the brand she is.

It will also talk about her sense of style, her influences, her idols and how she has become a name in Bollywood to reckon with.

Filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani has turned his hobby into a full time job which is to direc ads.

He loves the challenge of telling a story in 60 seconds ,therefore he has started a separate ad division. The acclaimed filmmaker has now dedicated one new division for this.

And Raju has been doing well for himself as after getting Amitabh Bachchan, he has now roped in his 3 Idiots star Kareena Kapoor to direct her for a commercial. Raju, who has worked in big films with big stars, is certainly continuing the trend of roping in A-listers even in this sphere. Someone is definitely taking his new profession very seriously.

After The Great Khali’s grand entry in the Salman Khan anchored show, now it’s the turn of the sexy saucy Kareena Kapoor to take a trip of the house. And she would be accompanied by the dusky Ajay Devgun. However, they are not to spend a night or a week in that camera-filled house.

We can safely say that Bebo fulfills all of those demands. The coveted actress starred in one of last year’s most popular movies, 3 Idiots, opposite Aamir Khan – who finds himself at #1 on the list. The highest paid actress in B-town is also often seen posing on fashion magazine covers and in celeb glossy mags.
Only Aamir Khan, Shahrukh Khan, Rajkumar Hirani, A.R. Rahman, Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, Yash Raj Films and Aamir Khan Productions enjoy a higher spot than Bebo, who is clearly the female lead in the Bollywood game! The only actress that could possibly reach the same heights as Bebo at this point is Katrina Kaif who finds herself at the #10 spot, after Hrithik Roshan at #9.
While Kat has had more success than Kareena at the box office this year, it seems like the 3 Idiots actress is carries more weight in the industry when factors like media presence and demand are taken into account. We are also surprised to see that bog shots like Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar, Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan didn’t even make top ten! We guess they have nothing on brand Bebo!

Kareena Kapoor, the gorgeous, svelte, suave, sexy glamour doll of bollywood who plays lead in big upcoming flicks like ‘Ra 1’(opposite Shah Rukh Khan), ‘ Golmaal 3’ (opposite Ajay Devgan) ,etc, has refused a big offer from a television channel to host a reality show ‘Main Kareena Kapoor Banna Chahti Hoon’, ostensibly due to previous commitments.

The show required her to travel to different parts of the country to conduct auditions of the prospective contestants and hence needed a lot of free time from shooting of films and commercials. The buzz doing the rounds in the industry is that Kareena Kapoor did not want to take up assignments in the unknown territory when the going was great in her own field of choice, i.e., films.

Bebo knows very well that for the next two years, she already has some of the most prestigious projects in hand and any overexposure on television might prove counterproductive. So it was very wise of her to take a backseat on the television front for the time being, despite of the offer of a mindboggling amount from the channel.

In any case, the bollywood brigade, by and large, has not succeeded on television, barring the few exceptions like Amitabh Bachchan ( Kaun Banega Crorepati) and Salman Khan (Dus Ka Dum). Even Shah Rukh, who had more fan following than Kareena Kapoor, could not salvage the fate of second season of ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ or ‘Kya Aap Panchvi Paas Se Tez Hain’.

After Kurbaan, fans have been eagerly awaiting to see more of the sizzling chemistry between Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor.

While they still have Agent Vinod to look forward to, sources close to the couple have indicated that they are scouting for some more interesting projects to work together on.

Inside sources say that they had approached a Hollywood studio to let them see the film Date Night starring Steve Carell and Tina Fey. Apparently, Saif was keen on doing a remake with his girlfriend and therefore wanted to show the film to Kareena to seek her opinion. However, after a screening organised by producers, they were having second thoughts about it as they felt that the roles would better suit someone more senior and mature looking. A recent media report has hinted that Ajay Devgn and Kajol may do it.
