In her short career, Kareena Kapoor has received five Filmfare Awards and has been noted for her performances in a range of film genres; these include her work from contemporary romantic dramas to comedies, period films to major Bollywood productions, as well as less publicized independent films. Her first Bollywood debut was REFUGEE were she was starred opposite Abhishek Bachchan.

In the movie ASHOKA, Kareena shared the screen with SRK. Although the movie failed to make an impact, the chemistry between them was loved a hit. Although they did not star opposite each other in KABHI KHUSHI KABHI GHAM, the movie was one of the biggest films of the year. The both have done two item numbers together – Yeh Mera Dil from DON and a Marjaani Marjaani from BILLU. Both saw instant success as the chemistry was rather sensational.

Kareena shared screen with Salman Khan twice. The first one, KYON KI, was a hit but MAIN AUR MRS KHANNA was not up to the mark. But people loved their chemistry on the screen.

Kareena who is now in a relationship with Saif Ali Khan has done a couple of movies with him including TASHAN and KURBAAN. TASHAN failed to impress the audience whereas in KURBAAN people loved there chemistry and the movie was not all that bad. The duo will soon be seen together in their upcoming movies.

Kareena shared the screen with Aamir Khan in 3 IDIOTS which was the biggest hit of 2009 and grabbed many awards too. Their Jodi was great on screen. Along with beau Saif, Bebo also has movies with Aamir in the coming times.

Aamir Khan and Salman Khan may have made Christmas and Eid a festival of their own but a little known fact is that the sex bombshell Kareena Kapoor is slowly taking on the major festivals stealthily carving a niche for herself.
Christmas 2009 saw her ‘3 Idiots’ getting an explosive release. Alongside Aamir Khan she rattled the cash barrels and took a blissful plunge into the sea of festivities.
This year she locked the Diwali date and made a splash with ‘Golmaal 3’ which turned out to be a huge hit. Even her ‘Golmaal Returns’ had hit the theatres in Diwali 2008 and had harvested some rich dividends.
Her super hit rom com ‘Jab We Met’ had released only a few days prior to Diwali in 2007 and had spawned a huge frenzy and fervour. Her character of Geet in that Shahid Kapoor starrer film is still etched in memories of the movie buffs.
Even her earlier films like Don (Diwali, 2006), Dosti (Christmas, 2005) and Aitraaz (Diwali 2004) had earned the benefit of festivities. However, majority of her earlier capers had failed and hence, she couldn’t make any substantial impact.
But 2011 shall find her ‘Bodyguard’ (with Salman khan) getting an Eid release and SRK starrer Ra. One is likely to get a Diwali release. And since, her film with Aamir and Rani is about to go on floors, it won’t be a surprise if it gets a Christmas, 2011 release. So it’s ‘Jingle bells all the way’ for the new queen of festivals.

Kareena Kapoor has worked with many top-notch actors of Bollywood but her thirst has still not satisfied as she did not get an opportunity to act opposite the King Khan, Shahrukh Khan. She had a small part with him in Don but the actress wanted some more of Shahrukh Khan. She is angry as no filmmakers till date approached her to act alongside Shahrukh Khan.

The actress said, “I’d love to work with SRK again. I’m sure something is in the wings.” Kareena too knows that Shahrukh also wanted to work with her and she is hopeful that they will be staring together in a promising project. “I don’t want to talk about it and jinx it, but I know that in his heart SRK knows that I want to work with him and we will work together”.

Kareena rubbishes the report that she and Shahrukh Khan are not in good terms, “Gauri, SRK, Saif and I are very close; we’re always dining at each others’ homes.”

We hope, very soon Kareena gets an opportunity to work with Shahrukh.
