Director Farah Khan has been heard singing praises of Katrina Kaif, who will be seen in her upcoming film Tees Maar Khan. Her dancing skills and flawless Hindi diction seems to have stolen her heart. But surprisingly, she thinks that Kareena Kapoor is a better actress than Katrina.

Television viewers were in for a surprise. Speaking on Koffee With Karan, Farah nonchalantly mentioned that she considered Kareena to be a better actress than Katrina.

In the meantime, Farah is all praise for Katrina. She feels that the item song ‘Sheela Ki Jaawani’ featuring the actress is bound to be a runaway hit. In fact, she has even gone to the extent of saying that she is likely to rake in lots of moolah, simply by dancing to that particular tune at concerts all year round.

Well, Katrina, a sensible girl that she is, might not be terribly upset with Farah’s statement, as she knows her strength. She knows that she is still not fit to hold a candle to Kareena when it comes to acting. But then, hearing it constantly is another matter altogether. After all, an actress does need to be in the news for the right reasons.

Aishwarya Rai did this for ‘Dhoom 2’ and Kareena did it for ‘Tashan’ (no we are not talking lip locks) and now the feisty Katrina Kaif has done this for ‘Tees Maar Khan’. Katty has shed pounds for her vivacious role in Farah Khan’s TMK that also stars actor c (Akshay has all the luck after all).
While Aishwarya had turned reed-thin for ‘Dhoom 2’ and Kareena had gone trimmer for ‘Tashan’, now it’s Salman Khan’s ex who has vowed to grab eyeballs. If the trailer of Tees Maar Khan is anything to go by, then it would appear that all male eyes are firmly affixed onto the wobbling belly of the suave Katrina as she shakes her stuffs in a plethora of item numbers.
All talks have now gathered around the size zero frame of the petite Katrina. In fact, she is being hailed as the new titleholder of size zero; something that she has successfully stolen from Kareena.
Kareena, of course, is basking in her curvier figure these days (she has finally put on some meat) and it’s a slimmer Katrina who is the new centre of all attraction. With an eel-like slender waist and a million dollar body, she has got the entire male brigade gaping at her with dropped jaws. Ranbir Kapoor, are you reading?

Kareena wore a red sequined halter top atop a black sequined cami and lighweight black silk harem pants with bubble hem, front pockets and long golden chain details. She accessorized with black square toe leather pumps, multiple bangles in her left arm, and multiple rings in both her hands. Her long glossy brown hair styled away from her face was left open with a side parting. She wore light lip gloss but departed from her signature eye makeup focussing more on the eye shadow than the dark thick eye liner.

South hottie Asin must have very good reasons to refuse a dream role opposite Shah Rukh Khan in Farah Khan penned and helmed Happy New Year, but no one can fathom it.

Asin was offered the role after she appeared on Farah’s talk show, Tere Mere Beach Mein, but despite her initial excitement, she declined citing date problems.

In the past Asin has publically expressed a desire to act with the third Khan (Shah Rukh), having made her Bollywood debut with Aamir Khan in Ghajini (2008) and followed it up by romancing Salman Khan in London Dreams.

When asked what governed her choice when signing films, Asin told Mumbai Mirror:

“The most important factors are script, character, director, producer, co-actor – in exactly this order. While selecting a role, I completely rely on my gut instinct.”

No one is quite sure at what point in her selection sequence she dropped Farah’s film, though we can be sure it wasn’t at the end.

Other potential candidates for Happy New Year include Priyanka chopra, Deepika Padukone and Kareena Kapoor.
