Kapoor, is facing neck-to-neck competition for the ‘Leading Role Female’ actress award at the 12th Annual International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) ceremony scheduled to be held in Toronto June 23-25.
Apart from Bollywood’s other top two beauties – Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Katrina Kaif – Kapoor is also facing tough rivalry from Vidya Balan and newcomer Anushka Sharma.

Kapoor has been nominated for her unusual tomboyish character in Rohit Shetty’s romantic comedy thriller Golmaal 3.

The film’s earlier two serials were also hits at the box office and liked all around the world for its different but extraordinary comedy.

Once bitten, twice shy. It is surprising that Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor have not spoken to each other since they broke up a few years ago. However, they bumped into each other at the recently held Filmfare Awards function and spoke to each other.

Priyanka Chopra and Kareena Kapoor were not on talking terms with each other for past six years, but recently Priyanka Chopra hugged Kareena Kapoor at the Mumbai Police Mela and fetches a happy ending to their rivalry.

Sources say that it was Priyanka Chopra who ended the long fight with Kareena Kapoor. She gave her hands of friendship to Kareena at the rehearsals of Filmfare Awards.

It is said that when Priyanka saw Kareena walking up and down the rehearsal hall, Priyanka walked up to her and gave her a warm hug.

Later they were even spotted talking about the unorganized schedule of the rehearsals.

Seldom does one see so many divas stepping and dancing on stage if not together then at least at the same event. The 55th Filmfare Awards night on Saturday promises tons of fun and entertainment with onstage performances by a host of stars including Kareena Kapoor, Katrina Kaif, Deepika Padukone, Salman Khan and Shahid Kapoor, among others.

Incidentally, choreographer Ganesh Hegde is giving the dance steps to both Kareena and Katrina. While Bebo will jig to songs like “Zoobi-Doobi” from 3 Idiots, Katrina has already promised a ‘phenomenal act’ to a medley of songs from her movies like New York and probably even ‘Paisa Paisa’ from De Dana Dan.

Kareena Kapoor may have been declared more powerful than Aishwarya Rai by Filmfare, but as far as IIFA is concerned, the Bachchans are still supreme.

Kareena learned this the hard way. Reports claim that Kareena was supposed to perform the song Marjani from Billu at the IIFA 2009 ceremony, but now, not only is she not performing, but she has refused to attend the event all together.

Kareena, it is reported, wanted the IIFA event to open and close with her performances, but the organisers weren’t ready to let her occupy both their key spots, as at least one is kept reserved for the Bachchans, since Big B is the brand ambassador of IIFA.
