Kareena Kapoor has been named the sexiest vegetarian of 2009 along with cricketer S Sreesanth.

She has shed the size-zero frame and regained her curves. But that’s not why Kareena has been voted the sexiest vegetarian by People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA). The primary reason is Kareena’s fondness for vegetarian food.

The online contest, conducted by PETA India’s youth arm, petaDishoom, had Kareena scoring over other contenders like Aditi Govitrikar , Hansika Motwani , Mallika Sherawat and Mahima Chaudhary .

Sreesanth, on the other hand, edged out fellow cricketer Ishant Sharma and Anil Kumble.

The size zero debate has failed to stop Kareena Kapoor from clinching the Sexiest Vegetarian Celebrity of 2008 title by PETA India. Interestingly, Bebo won the same title last year, too, along with South Indian actor R. Madhavan.

“If my fans are looking up to me and have turned vegetarian, then I am happy about it. I am a pure vegetarian and it helps me keep fit and healthy,” said Kareena, who shares the honour with cricketer S. Sreesanth.

What is interesting is that Kareena has beaten several international celebrities such as Pamela Anderson and musician Sir Paul McCartney.

Rapper Sean Kingston’s Beautiful Girls topped the charts in the US, UK and Europe and our local discotheques, too, rocked to the popular number.

But now there’s a desi twist to the song. The international star, who is floored by our Bollywood divas, is doing a remake of Beautiful Girls and the track is called Bollywood Girls. And guess who the rapper has named as one of the most beautiful girls in the world? Kareena Kapoor, that’s who!
