The director of films like Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, Black and Guzaarish is now planning to revive his once-shelved film which will star Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor in lead roles.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali has recently admitted that he makes films, not money, so reviving an old film requires courage. If the recent buzz is to be believed than the director has started thinking again about his magnum opus Bajirao Mastani with Salman and Kareena. The movie was planned in the year 2003 and Sanjay was eager to have Aishwarya Rai in the lead role of Mastani opposite Salman. But because of the Salman and Aishwarya break-up, the director abandoned the thought of making the film with the couple.

Filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali has finally decided to compromise with the choice of his leading lady for his next project Bajirao Mastani. Ashwarya Rai has been Bhansali’s muse since they worked together in Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam in 1999. The hot pair of Salman Khan and Aishwarya Rai broke up and thus Bhansali had to shelve his plan of making Bajirao Mastani with them.

Kareena Kapoor has reportedly been dropped from the next Sanjay Leela Bhasali film because of the director’s sympathies for Aishwarya Rai.

Bhasali has previously worked with the former beauty queen, who starred in his 1999 box office hit Hum Dil De Chuke Sana.

Her recent string of flops may have prompted the director to cast her in his next project, despite having contacted Kapoor about the role, the Hindustan Times has reported.

A source told the paper: “Sanjay felt that by bringing Kareena in his film at a time when Aishwarya had suffered such a debacle, he would be betraying her.”

Just a few days ago there were reports about Indian Motion Pictures Producers Association aka IMPPA receiving a complaint from M/s PJ Sughand Production Pvt Ltd against Kareena Kapoor. Sughand Production had claimed Kareena had taken Rs.10 lakhs as a signing amount for their film and had refused to return back the sum after she failed to commit dates for their project. But now it is learnt that Kareena Kapoor has refunded the amount.

The dainty beauty, who was seen performing some kick butt action sequences in the dud ‘Tashan’, apparently chickened out while doing the underwater scene for Sajid Nadiadwala’s ‘Kambakht Ishq’ at Goregaon Sports Club.

Buzz has it that it took Bebo six hours to get the scene right. Though the beauty made four attempts to give the shot, she came out each time looking petrified and gasping for breath.
