Kareena Kapoor and Imtiaz Ali are all set to recreate the magic of Jab We Met by teaming up together in a snack ad.

After the success of Jab…, Bebo was keen on working with Imtiaz Ali again, but the director chose Deepika instead in Love Aaj Kal.

According to sources, Kareena insisted that Imtiaz should direct her in the ad as she was “dying” to work with the director.

A source has revealed the concept of the ad. “The concept is much like the story of Jab We Met. Bebo will be wearing ethnic salwar-suits and would run through the sarson ka khets.”

Svelte actress Kareena Kapoor was recently spotted in Chandigrah for shooting an advertisement, directed by ‘Jab We Met’ director Imtiaz Ali.

The shooting for the ad film was scheduled on a wheat field in Panhudi village near Mallapur (Chandigrah). However, grapevine has it that in order to ensure that the Nawab’s soon-to-be-bahu Kareena was not bitten by vermin or inspects, copious amount of pesticides was sprinkled on fully harvested crops. In addition, the path that the finicky actress had to take for reaching the shooting venue, was thoroughly fumigated.

Bollywood superhit Jab We Met is being remade in Tamil with Tamanna and Bharath in lead roles.

Starring Kareena Kapoor and Shahid Kapur in lead roles, the Hindi movie by director Imtiaz Ali told the story of a feisty Punjabi girl who meets a stranger on a train and befriends him. While the man gradually falls in love with the girl, she remains confused about her feelings.

The Tamil remake is being directed by Mani Ratnam’s protégé Kannan and jointly produced by Moser Baer and Blue Ocean Entertainment.
