Bollywood’s sizzling hottie Kareena Kapoor and tinsel town’s new pin-up boy Siddharth Mallya recently had something important in common. Wondering what that is? Well they attended the fashion week held recently without their better halves Saif Ali Khan and Deepika Padukone.

It is seen quite often that Kareena and Sidhartha have attended same social events without their lovers in tow and have often ended up hanging out together. On second day of Lakme Fashion Week, Kareena became the showstopper of the Manish Malhotra show. Kareena was looking ravishing in a white anarkali dress designed by Manish. The actress attended the fashion show came along with Amrita Arora and Sophie Chaudhary including the director of Jab We Met, Imtiaz Ali.

Hrithik Roshan and Kareena Kapoor who were earlier seen in Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham, Yaadein, Mujhse Dosti Karoge, Main Prem Ki Deewani Hoon would be seen together after many years in Jab We Met director Imtiaz Ali’s next, reports Mid Day.

A source however says the casting might not happen at all. “But that’s far from true. Don’t they know history? Bebo was supposed to be part of Kaho Naa Pyar Hai, remember? Though she’s done films with her once special friend in a lot of movies and has maintained cordial relations, the past does haunt, no?”

Once bitten, twice shy. It is surprising that Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor have not spoken to each other since they broke up a few years ago. However, they bumped into each other at the recently held Filmfare Awards function and spoke to each other.

It happened when Kareena returned to the stage after her performance at the award function. She saw Shahrukh Khan and her ex beau Shahid having a conversation back stage. On seeing them, she walked up to them greeted them. They talked for a while and went on to do their respective works.

Kareena Kapoor, as movie buffs have seen, is an actress with fewer inhibitions than most of A-list actresses. Kareena is pretty bold and bindaas babe who has gone dare-bare in quite a few films where she has exposed her back or donned a bikini (as in Tashan) or gone semi-nude as in Asoka.
But her ex flame Shahid Kapoor hasn’t quite learnt this trait from his ‘Jab We Met’ co-star. Shahid is not quite prepared to strip on screen and that is evident from the fact that he has clearly refused Manish Gupta’s film ‘Hostel.’

Actually I love all his movies but I feel that these three – Awaara, Sangam and Bobby – are his best. They all belong to different eras and tell totally different stories.

Shahid Kapoor’s ‘Geet’ and Aamir Khan’s ‘Piya’ from ‘Jab We Met’ and ‘3 idiots’ respectively, Kareena Kapoor had grabbed Saif Ali Khan’s eyeballs after showing her lime green bikini in Tashan. And since then the gossip mills have been spinning fast dishing out tales of wed locks and motherhood.
There were reports doing the rounds that Kareena and Saif are ready to tie the knot. It was also being whispered that the duo has done a secret ‘Nikah’. Then, fingers were also being pointed at a possible baby bump after Kareena’s abs were found slightly bloated.
However, finally the couple have spoken up and have trashed all these gospels to set the record straight. Dismissing all these rumoured hearsays, they have spoken up on matrimonial plans.
Revealing the secret, they have let out that the wedding bell is not to ring in the near future. Even though they are very much together, a marriage is still miles away. Reason? Reason is that they are pretty much focussed on their respective careers right now and have no plans to divert towards domestic life.

“The journey has been colourful. I don’t think any other actress has been able to do such varied roles. Whether it was Refugee, Dev, Chameli, Omkara, Jab We Met, 3 Idiots or Kurbaan, the films had a varied spectrum,” Kareena Kapoor says, as she turns 30 on September 21. The actress, who also completes 10 years in the industry this year, has given us some great DVDs for our shelves.

“I got to do different roles — some were liked and some were not — but I am happy as long as I attempted to do them well,” Kareena continued.
