Cameras are set to roll on the Bollywood remake of the 1998 Hollywood film Stepmom. Kajol, Kareena Kapoor, and Arjun Rampal will star in the yet-to-be-titled Indian version of the hit American movie about a divorced couple with two children and the husband’s new wife. Kareena will play the stepmother—the role belonging to Julia Roberts in the original—while Kajol will play the ex-wife, which was Susan Sarandon’s role. Arjun will take on Ed Harris’ character, the children’s father.
Kareena will reportedly wear no makeup and sport a new hairstyle to make her look like an ordinary woman who’s frazzled by her new stepkids. She’s said to be thrilled about the prospect of again working alongside an actress of Kajol’s stature—the two appeared together once before, playing sisters in Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham in 2001.

The director-producer Karan Johar once again signed her favourite and lucky actress Kajol Devgan for his new venture ‘Stepmom’.

According to the sources, Karan has also hired Bollywood hot babe Kareena Kapoor for ‘Stepmom’.

It will be second time when the duo will be seen together on silver screen. Previously they were seen together in a superhit movie “Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham” in 2001. The movie was also directed by Karan Johar.

Sources reveal that Kajol and Kareena have been finalised for Karan Johar’s forthcoming film and the shooting will start when actors will get free from their ongoing projects.
