Debutant Siddharth Malhotra helmed adaptation of Hollywood film Stepmom began filming today, October 9, in the US. The film stars Kajol, Kareena Kapoor and Arjun Rampal.

Producer Karan Johar tweeted earlier in the day with the news:

Kareena Kapoor will fill in for Julia Roberts as the step mother and Kajol will play Susan Sarandon’s role as the terminally ill mother. John Abraham, who was to play Ed Harris’ role as the father of two children, opted out and has been replaced by Arjun Rampal.

Kareena Kapoor has revealed that she plans to launch a size zero range based on her own figure.

The actress is famed for her small measurements, which resulted in the creation of a ‘size zero’ low-fat pizza by an Indian pizza chain last month.

In an interview with The Times of India, the 29-year-old actress said: “My size zero is what got the attention of an international clothes manufacturer. I will be launching a clothes line soon.

“I know that youngsters think of me as a fashion icon because of my current size.

Additi Gupta aka Heer of Kis Des Mein Hain Mera Dil is baffled with her on-screen character. Well she was supposed to look like the cute and simple but yet elegant Kareena Kapoor of Jab We Met, but the actress ended up looking like Kajol in her straight hair and a saree.

Additi revealed about the confusion, “Actually it was planned when we started the serial that my character would resemble like that of Kareena in Jab We Met, but people say my looks are like Kajol of Kuch Kuch Hota Hai,” she said.
