Kareena Kapoor has become the highest-paid actress in Bollywood.

She has reportedly been offered just over £1m to star in the next installment of Rohit Shetty’s Golmaal series.

A source told India Times: “She was apparently paid Rs 2.5 crore [£330,000] for Kambakkht Ishq and little more for Golmaal 2.

“Rohit’s film went on to become a hit and the director wants to repeat the cast for his next movie that will take the story forward. So to make her sign this film, Rohit has offered her Rs10 crore [£1.3m].”
