Koffee with Karan (KWK) and Karan Johar have a lot to answer for. It seems that after every episode, we hear about a new controversy concerning the stars on the infamous couch. But now it seems that the show is responsible for starting a full blown feud.

It all began when Kareena Kapoor wanted to know ‘where Priyanka got her accent from’, and with a quirky reply Priyanka let her know it was ‘the same place her boyfriend gets his from’.

Things don’t just end there though, Kareena went ahead to say that ‘I don’t think Priyanka is an actress’ to which Priyanka replied ‘Everyone has their opinion, but I think Kareena is an actress!’

Looks like its Kareena’s turn to throw the next ‘punch’!!! And all we can say is bring it on!

I’ve heard some very interesting dope on the ongoing Imran Khan-Ranbir Kapoor rivalry, announced Sher Lock Holmes as he strolled in. What about it, I wonder and he says that actor Kareena Kapoor just couldn’t stop praising her co-actor in her next romcom, Short Term Shaadi, for Karan Johar’s production house. “I’ve always said that Imran is a superstar of the next generation,” my super sleuth recalls the Kapoor kudi saying in an interview recently.
She’s also reportedly said: “He has a personality which I like a lot.” Kewl. Wonder what cousin Ranbir has to say about this. Or shouldn’t I ask?

The voting process of the 12th International India Film Academy awards got going when Kareena Kapoor cast her first vote. She was accompanied by IIFA Advisory Board member Karan Johar and Wizcraft International Entertainment, director Sabbas Joseph. Later they were joined by Anil Kapoor, Boman Irani and Riteish Deshmukh.

Having cast the first vote, Kareena Kapoor said: “It is a great privilege that has been bestowed upon me to cast the first vote and inaugurate the 12th IIFA voting weekend. IIFA has set a high standard with its voting procedure and has hence established a benchmark for excellence and credibility. This being the IIFA’s premiere in North America, I am eagerly looking forward to the IIFA weekend in Toronto.”

“I have been performing in the last four editions of the IIFA, but this edition would be a very emotional one for me for the organisers have kept a retrospective on my grandfather Raj Kapoor,” she added.

On his part, Karan Johar said: “After going around several destinations in the world, the IIFA is entering North America for the first time. This is a unique opportunity for our film fraternity getting to know that country. We, all in the film fraternity are collectively acting as ambassadors in promoting our film industry there in Canada.”

Anil Kapoor also spoke high of the IIFA and its going to Canada this year. “These kind of going around countries help filmmakers from both ends to network and explore new horizons. It was way back when the IIFA was held in South Africa. There I met a filmmaker who got interested in my film My Name Is Gandhi when I narrated him the script. This is how he came on board and my film got made,” he observed.

The IIFA voting process is closely monitored by PricewaterHouse Coopers (PwC), the official auditors for the event. The popular category nominations will then be available for the global audience to participate in the voting process.

The three-day 2011 edition of the IIFA would be held in Ontario from 23 to 25 June this year.

Band Baaja Baaraat star Ranveer Singh confessed about his feelings for Kareena Kapoor in Karan Johar’s celebrity talk show “Koffee With Karan”.He was accompanied in the show by Anushka Sharma.

When asked about his favorite actress/fantasy, Ranveer jumped off his couch and went down on his knees and said “I love Kareena.”

He said further, “She is the one whom I have idolized from my adoloscent days. She is the one who is responsible for making me go from boyhood to manhood.”

After sporting chic Western attire for her role as a hairstylist in Karan Johar’s Short Term Shaadi, Kareena Kapoor will go ethnic for Atul Agnihotri’s Bodyguard.

Bebo has been styled by Manish Malhotra for both films. Says a source, “MM has given her a very different look in Bodyguard, as she plays a college-going girl who is also a don’s daughter. So, she wears bright and colourful Pakistani long kurtas with block print salwars. Kareena is known to be a fashion icon having started the Geet kurtis in Jab We Met. This will start a new trend for youngsters too of long Pakistani kurtas with high slits and big ghera salwars.”

The Kapoor gal will accessorise with silver antique oxidised jewellery, beaded bags and accessories. “There are lots of metallic and thread work bangles to add an Indian touch. Manish sourced the accessories from Pune, Delhi and Mumbai. Most of the outfits, she will wear, have an embroidered patch with crochet and threadwork. Kareena has kept her hair long, straight and simple in the film,” adds the source.

The original Malayalam flick revolves around a young man Jayakrishnan who adulates anyone with a trace of heroism and offers to be their bodyguard.

A business tycoon Ashokan hires him to follow and safeguard his only daughter Ammu. He follows her everywhere. To distract him, she calls him from an unknown number claiming to love him. Years later, Jayakrishnan realises that his real lover is Ammu, who’s waited for him for so many years faithfully and marries her.

Everybody knows that Kareena Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra don’t see eye to eye. However, they surprised everyone recently by hugging in public.

It happened at the Mumbai Police Mela held at Andheri. Priyanka was performing to the track “Desi Girl” when Saif Ali Khan and Shahrukh Khan joined her on stage. Then she saw Kareena and gestured her to join them. They embraced each other on stage.

It is said that Shahrukh Khan, Saif Ali Khan and Farhan Akhtar have been trying to convince the actors to patch up. It was apparent that the trio planned the patch up, as Saif was spotted taking a photograph while Kareena and Priyanka were hugging.

Well, it maybe recalled that all was not well between Kareena and Priyanka. Besides the rumours that Priyanka is seeing the former’s ex-boyfriend Shahid Kapoor, the duo hit out at each other at Karan Johar’s TV show Koffee With Karan.
