They were a successful pair in Love Aaj Kal. And now, Saif Ali Khan and Deepika Padukone will be seen in three films together – Prakash Jha’s Aarakshan, Abbas-Mastan’s Race 2 and Homi Adajania’s Cocktail. The duo’s chemistry that was much-spoken about during Imtiaz Ali’s 2009 release had apparently led to some issues between Deepika and Saif’s girlfriend, Kareena Kapoor.

When asked whether these three films together may rake up that past, Deepika says, “Such reports haven’t changed my equation with Kareena. There is no animosity with her or Katrina,” says Deepika. “A lot of these stories are media created. I don’t even get a chance to interact with them to have an issue.”

Kareena Kapoor gave a surprise to the cast of “Aarakshan” by landing on the sets of the film in Bhopal, where her beau Saif is shooting with Deepika.

Her surprise visit on the sets has resulted in a subject of gossip in B-town. A close source from the Aarakshan unit stated “Kareena heard that Saif would be shooting some intense romantic scenes with Deepika, including a long kissing scene.”

He said further, “It is widely believed she rushed to Bhopal to ‘monitor’ the scenes. She was not too happy to hear about the kissing scene.”

Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor have announced on chat show Koffee with Karan that they won’t be lip-locking on screen anymore.

While Bebo wasn’t thrilled with Saif’s kiss with Deepika Padukone in Love Aaj Kal, he too expressed his reservations over her kiss with Akshay Kumar in Kambakht Ishq.

Despite their self-imposed ban, sources reveal that Kareena might have to re-think her strategy as Reema Kagti’s untitled film with Aamir Khan does have a kiss.

A source says: “Aamir won’t be too thrilled to hear that Kareena went on national television to announce her fatwa on kissing. He would have preferred her to discuss her stand with him.”

After their successful outing as brand ambassadors for Airtel DTH, real life couple Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor have been chosen to endorse Metro Shoes. Though the official announcement is still due, the sources have it that they have already shot for a commercial with the tagline ‘Happy Feet, Happy People’.

The couple shot for the print ad campaign photographed by Prasad Naik and were styled by Anahita Shroff Adjania (Love Aaj Kal). The ad will be displayed on 100 hoardings across India and near major roads across Mumbai. Just a week earlier, Kareena also shot for her bike ad for Mahindra two wheelers for which she was chosen as brand ambassador.

Agent Vinod headlining Saif Ali Khan and girlfriend Kareena Kapoor commence production on Friday, May 28.

The film is being jointly produced by Saif’s Illuminati Films and Eros International. The two companies had earlier jointly produced Love Aaj Kal (2009), a box office success that netted a Rs 50 crore profit over its Rs 45 crore production cost.

According to HT, Agent Vinod is being produced at a cost of Rs 55 crore. Eros had asked Saif to reduce the cost but he declined. Eventually, Eros decided to go along.
