They were a successful pair in Love Aaj Kal. And now, Saif Ali Khan and Deepika Padukone will be seen in three films together – Prakash Jha’s Aarakshan, Abbas-Mastan’s Race 2 and Homi Adajania’s Cocktail. The duo’s chemistry that was much-spoken about during Imtiaz Ali’s 2009 release had apparently led to some issues between Deepika and Saif’s girlfriend, Kareena Kapoor.

When asked whether these three films together may rake up that past, Deepika says, “Such reports haven’t changed my equation with Kareena. There is no animosity with her or Katrina,” says Deepika. “A lot of these stories are media created. I don’t even get a chance to interact with them to have an issue.”

The actor tried to play down the fact that Imtiaz and Prakash chose her over Kareena in Love Aaj Kal and Katrina in Aarakshan respectively by saying, “I have no idea if they wanted to be part of Aarakshan. And as for the comparisons, they are inevitable.”

Saif, who is happy about his pairing with Deepika in the forthcoming films, insists that the duo wouldn’t get monotonous on screen. “We have consciously tried to do things differently in these films, so that the pairing doesn’t look repeated,” he says, before Deepika added, “When we signed these films I wasn’t aware that we both were cast together. It’s a happy coincidence.”

That actress’ Kareena Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra aren’t exactly buddies is a rather well-known fact in B-Town. Infact, the two apparently share enough cold vibes to make the distance between them a freeze zone. That both Bebo and PC are actress Shahid Kapoor’s exes now, don’t help things either.

There were ripples again on this calm surface when PC recently dropped by on the sets of Bebo’s beau actor Saif Ali Khan and even spent a considerable time with him. Sources say that PC’s attempt at friendship with the chhote Nawab proved to be a damp squib. “Priyanka’s no nuisance,” Kareena, apparently, laughed off the matter.

However, sources insist that knowing PC, her act was only meant to instigate Kareena. “Luckily she didn’t fall for the bait, but that doesn’t mean that she’s not watching out for her to try it again,” said a source.

Interestingly, Khan’s co-actress Deepika Padukone on the other hand is gaining brownie points as being Kapoor favourite Saif co-star. And those close to the couple reveal that she even talks highly of Deepika. “Though Saif is known to have shared a good rapport with Deepika on sets and the chemistry was also interesting in their last film together, Love Aaj Kal, Kareena knows there’s nothing to worry there. So, she’s pretty comfortable with Saif acting with Deepika again in his next films too. Besides, she’s a professional when it comes to matters like these,” the source added.

“Both look good on screen,” Kapoor had earlier said about Khan;s pairing with Padukone. As for Khan working with Chopra in the future, she adds, “I am working with other actors and so is Saif. Neither of us has any problems in that.” But when it comes to choosing co-stars, we’re sure that Khan certainly knows the ones to avoid for now.

Kareena Kapoor gave a surprise to the cast of “Aarakshan” by landing on the sets of the film in Bhopal, where her beau Saif is shooting with Deepika.

Her surprise visit on the sets has resulted in a subject of gossip in B-town. A close source from the Aarakshan unit stated “Kareena heard that Saif would be shooting some intense romantic scenes with Deepika, including a long kissing scene.”

He said further, “It is widely believed she rushed to Bhopal to ‘monitor’ the scenes. She was not too happy to hear about the kissing scene.”

Saif and Deepika developed a good rapport ever since they were casted together in “Love Aaj Kal”.

Kareena who is very possessive about Saif was a little upset with the steamy scenes. But Saif tactfully handled the situation.

After their successful outing as brand ambassadors for Airtel DTH, real life couple Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor have been chosen to endorse Metro Shoes. Though the official announcement is still due, the sources have it that they have already shot for a commercial with the tagline ‘Happy Feet, Happy People’.

The couple shot for the print ad campaign photographed by Prasad Naik and were styled by Anahita Shroff Adjania (Love Aaj Kal). The ad will be displayed on 100 hoardings across India and near major roads across Mumbai. Just a week earlier, Kareena also shot for her bike ad for Mahindra two wheelers for which she was chosen as brand ambassador.

He said Peter England was ready to launch its new campaign where the brand unveils its message ‘beginning of good things’, a philosophy that encapsulates the result of applying self-belief. Confirming the same, Siddharth posted on his Twitter account, “So you guys already know – I am the new face of a brand that sells a garment every 6 seconds in India. Yes, I am the new face of Peter England. I’m very excited about this because it’s a brand I’ve used a lot and still do. You can find my new brand in 425+ exclusive stores spread across 600 towns in India. Siddharth also announced that a television commercial featuring him is set to air soon.

Agent Vinod headlining Saif Ali Khan and girlfriend Kareena Kapoor commence production on Friday, May 28.

The film is being jointly produced by Saif’s Illuminati Films and Eros International. The two companies had earlier jointly produced Love Aaj Kal (2009), a box office success that netted a Rs 50 crore profit over its Rs 45 crore production cost.

According to HT, Agent Vinod is being produced at a cost of Rs 55 crore. Eros had asked Saif to reduce the cost but he declined. Eventually, Eros decided to go along.

Dinesh Vijan of Illuminati Films confirmed that production is underway.

“Yes, we begin shooting tonight (Friday night). We’re doing an action sequence with Saif and another actor. It’s a flashback sequence. I can’t reveal more.”

Next, the unit will to move to Morocco for the main shoot. Schedules are also planned in Europe and Delhi.

The pre-climax scene will be shot in Pakistan.

The film will be released in March 2010.

Saif Ali Khan is keeping a low profile. News about Agent Vinod has been making the rounds, but not always for the right reason. With so much speculation going around, Saif Ali Khan decided to go for the “No Comments” approach, but now we have news that the director of the film – Sriram Raghavan is in Morocco, location hunting.

The movie will stars Kareena Kapoor opposite Saif and is produced under the banner Illuminati Films.

Saif had said, “I believe in Agent Vinod and I want to make the film. I have always read such stories as a kid and the script of Agent Vinod is too good for me not to produce and act in it.” But with budget cut downs after the crash of the global economy last year, Saif’s Agent Vinod, which was supposed to have been shot in several foreign locations, faced several setbacks. However, Saif was not willing to compromise.

Raghavan had worked with Saif in Ek Thi Haseena. Since then the duo have been planning to work on a film together and finally Agent Vinod is now set to roll.

The actor turned producer has waited for almost a year after the release of his last production, Love Aaj Kal to start work on his next. But now, with news coming in that Agent Vinod is back on its tracks, it’s good news for all associated with the film.

And for me the question really was: Do I want to be part of this film? Or am I just going to be part of films where my role has been great but they’ve not gone on to be huge successes? And besides, we have to start thinking differently. In Inglourious Basterds, Christoph Waltz had a much better role but that didn’t stop Brad Pitt from being part of the film. We keep talking about the West doing things differently, but no one really follows it. Everyone is just bothered about the length of their roles, and how many songs and scenes they have. And for me, it’s not about screen time. It’s about being effective. How much money did you really make in 3 Idiots? (Giggles) Well, not even one third of what Raju, Vinod and Aamir made. But more than my bank balance, I am just happy that I am part of a film that has made history. Are you in discussion for another film with Aamir? You visited his house before you left for your European vacation with Saif… I went to Aamir’s house because I hadn’t seen him since his dad passed away. Saif and I are very fond of both Aamir and Kiran. And I would love to meet them again. Ours was a condolence visit, it wasn’t about work. Ok, I have to ask. You have worked with all the three Khans (Aamir, SRK, Salman). Who’s the most fun to work with? And please don’t be politically correct.
