Karan Johar has begun work on his next production called Short Term Shaadi, which stars Imran Khan and Kareena Kapoor in lead roles.

The movie, produced under the Dharma Productions banner and directed by Shakun Batra, has gone on floors. Short Term Shaadi also stars Boman Irani.

In 2010, Dharma Productions released three films namely My Name Is Khan, I Hate Luv Storys and We Are Family. Dharma is also co-producing an animation film with Prana Studios called Koochie Koochie Hota Hai, which will have voices by Shah Rukh khan, Kajol and Rani Mukherji and will be directed by Tarun Mansukhani. The story is by Johar.

Producer Karan Johar’s movie We Are Family – a remake of the 1998 Hollywood flick Stepmom – brings together the blockbuster ‘sister’ pair from Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham; Kareena Kapoor and Kajol.

The Hindi remake of Stepmom also features Arjun Rampal as John Abraham turned down the role. Kajol, one of KJo’s favorite actresses, will play the role of the terminally ill mother, which was originally portrayed by Hollywood actress Susan Sarandon. Kareena will be taking on the role of Julia Roberts, who played the stepmother in the original critically-acclaimed film.

But this time was different. Karan made sure Bebo and Shahid spoke for a while and as soon as they were a little bit more at ease, Kareena’s current beau, Saif Ali Khan, also came to say hi!

The director-producer Karan Johar once again signed her favourite and lucky actress Kajol Devgan for his new venture ‘Stepmom’.

According to the sources, Karan has also hired Bollywood hot babe Kareena Kapoor for ‘Stepmom’.

It will be second time when the duo will be seen together on silver screen. Previously they were seen together in a superhit movie “Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham” in 2001. The movie was also directed by Karan Johar.

Sources reveal that Kajol and Kareena have been finalised for Karan Johar’s forthcoming film and the shooting will start when actors will get free from their ongoing projects.
