The reigning queen of Bollywood, Kareena Kapoor, has been appreciated for her versatility and the Bebo claims that she has always wanted to be a star actress. Kareena, who has always been appreciated for pulling off roles of different genres, apparently claims that awards are the last thing on her mind as she signs a flick.

On her films and experience in the industry, Kareena says, “See, ever since I began my career, I have always maintained that I want to be a star actress. I should give the kind of confidence to the film makers that I can carry off any role confidently. Whether it is a Geet (Jab We Met) or a Dolly (Omkara), Simrita (Kambakkht Ishq) or the character I play in ‘Kurbaan’ – I am mixing it up all”.

from the babble to play quiet and silently-evocative characters.

SAYS the fashion diva just elected the only woman in Filmfare’s Top 10 Power List, “It’s an exciting phase in my life when so many things rushed down on me at the same time. The last year was a turning-point in my life. But the end-result is happy. Both professionally and emotionally, I think I’ve come out a winner. I’ve tried to be as dignified about my personal life as possible. As for my work, God has been kind.”

If the grapevines are to be correct, Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan are both playing terrorists in Rensil D’Silva’s next. More recently, rumors were flying around tinseltown, that the untitled movie was finally being named Jeehad. However, D’Silva put those rumors to rest, “No… my film is not called Jihaad. It’s a name that the media seems to have given the film but it’s not the official title.”

He did however, confirm that the movie was set in the surroundings of terrorism, “It’s a romantic thriller set against the backdrop of global terrorism… can’t reveal plot points or character sketches at this point of time.” Over 40% of the movie has been shot in Philadelphia, Delhi and currently ongoing in Mumbai.
