Of late we have seen a number of Bollywood celebrities making their presence felt on the small screen. From Amitabh Bachchan to Shahrukh Khan, Akshay Kumar to Priyanka Chopra, a string of big ticket celebs have been seen on reality shows on television in the recent past. Following on their footsteps, many B-town A-listers are now trying their hands on the small screen.

Here, we present you a bevy of Bollywood A-listers, who will be seen making their TV debut soon.

Hrithik Roshan: Actor Hrithik Roshan who till date was seen wooing his female fans on big screen is now all set for his television debut as a judge in a dance reality show. Hrithik, who is himself an amazing dancer, will be accompanied by choreographers Farah Khan and Vaibhavi Merchant as the juries for the show. Interestingly, industry insiders claim that Hrihtik who is making his television debut with the show is indeed the highest paid actor on television in current time. To be air on Star Plus, ‘Just Dance’ will begin from May 19th. 2011.

Sanjay Dutt: Another actor who is also said to make his debut in television world is Sanjay Dutt in the third season of Dus Ka Dum. Though the third season of the show has not yet been confirmed yet, talks are doing the round that Sanjay has been approached by the producers to host the game show. While Salman Khan who hosted the first two seasons moved out of the third season due to financial differences with the channel. Sources also revealed that Salman is very close to Sanju and is keen to see him host the show.

Sunny Deol: After delivering hit film ‘Yamla Pagla Deewana’ this year, Sunny Deol is all set to make his television debut as a judge on an upcoming stunt-based show ‘Jaanbaaz’. The show is about daring stuntmen who put their life at risk for their profession. The actor will shoot 33 episodes. When asked, Sunny confirmed the news saying, he is really looking forward to his new journey on TV and would ake every possible effort to present it an entertaining way.

Kareena Kapoor: Kareena Kapoor will soon make her small screen debut with a fashion-based reality show that will see her help contestants put together a wardrobe. The show offered to Kareena will see her sharing her fashion tips with the participants. She will also be doling out makeovers. Buzz is there that if Bebo gives her green signal to the show, she will be showered with the biggest amount ever offered to a female celebrity host. It is rumoured that her remuneration would be Rs. 1 crore per episode.

That actress’ Kareena Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra aren’t exactly buddies is a rather well-known fact in B-Town. Infact, the two apparently share enough cold vibes to make the distance between them a freeze zone. That both Bebo and PC are actress Shahid Kapoor’s exes now, don’t help things either.

There were ripples again on this calm surface when PC recently dropped by on the sets of Bebo’s beau actor Saif Ali Khan and even spent a considerable time with him. Sources say that PC’s attempt at friendship with the chhote Nawab proved to be a damp squib. “Priyanka’s no nuisance,” Kareena, apparently, laughed off the matter.

However, sources insist that knowing PC, her act was only meant to instigate Kareena. “Luckily she didn’t fall for the bait, but that doesn’t mean that she’s not watching out for her to try it again,” said a source.

Interestingly, Khan’s co-actress Deepika Padukone on the other hand is gaining brownie points as being Kapoor favourite Saif co-star. And those close to the couple reveal that she even talks highly of Deepika. “Though Saif is known to have shared a good rapport with Deepika on sets and the chemistry was also interesting in their last film together, Love Aaj Kal, Kareena knows there’s nothing to worry there. So, she’s pretty comfortable with Saif acting with Deepika again in his next films too. Besides, she’s a professional when it comes to matters like these,” the source added.

“Both look good on screen,” Kapoor had earlier said about Khan;s pairing with Padukone. As for Khan working with Chopra in the future, she adds, “I am working with other actors and so is Saif. Neither of us has any problems in that.” But when it comes to choosing co-stars, we’re sure that Khan certainly knows the ones to avoid for now.

Kapoor, is facing neck-to-neck competition for the ‘Leading Role Female’ actress award at the 12th Annual International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) ceremony scheduled to be held in Toronto June 23-25.
Apart from Bollywood’s other top two beauties – Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Katrina Kaif – Kapoor is also facing tough rivalry from Vidya Balan and newcomer Anushka Sharma.

Kapoor has been nominated for her unusual tomboyish character in Rohit Shetty’s romantic comedy thriller Golmaal 3.

The film’s earlier two serials were also hits at the box office and liked all around the world for its different but extraordinary comedy.

Kapoor played the lead role in the movie against Bollywood star Ajay Devgn supported by evergreen disco dancer Mithun Chakraborty, Arshad Warsi, Sharman Joshi, Tushar Kapoor, Johnny Lever, Shreyas Talpade, Kunal Khemu, Sanjay Mishra, Ratna Pathak and Ashwini Khalsekar.

Born into the famous Kapoor family, Kareena is the daughter of Randhir Kapoor and Babita and sister of all-time hot and sexy Karishma Kapoor.

She made her acting debut in the 2000 film Refugee and since then has achieved as many as six Filmfare Awards.

Recently Kareena outsmarted hot actresses like Katrina Kaif, Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra to win Stardust’s 2011 sexiest woman title.

However, in the race for the prestigious IIFA Award for the ‘leading female role’, Kapoor is facing tough competition from megastar Amitabh Bachchan’s daughter-in-law and former Miss Universe Aishwarya Rai, for her classic role in Guzaarish, and former sexiest woman Katrina Kaif for her character in Ranjeeti.

Newcomer Anushka Sharma, who worked with superstar Shah Rukh Khan in Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, poses yet another threat for Kareena, for Sharma has also been nominated for her masti-filled lead role in Band Baaja Baaraat released in December 2010.

Produced by Aditya Chopra and directed by Maheesh Sharma, Band Baaja Baaraat is full of mauj, masti and dhamaal. Anushka Sharma plays a 20-year graduate and ambitious girl who wants to start her own wedding planning business.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who once again appeared with Hrithik Roshan in Bhansali’s extremely emotional and heart-breaking film Guzaarish, is the biggest threat for Kareena Kapoor. Rai played a truly classic and very special role.

In Guzaarish, she was seen as the nurse of Hrithik Roshan, a magician who becomes a quadriplegic when a trick goes wrong.

But Kareena Kapoor stays the front-runner as one of the most popular Bollywood celebrities, and her performances have always raised her to establish her as a style icon for young girls and women. This should be one interesting race.

Kareena Kapoor doesn’t seem to mind Priyanka Chopra bonding with Saif Ali Khan…

It’s a well-known fact that actresses Kareena Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra never got along. And the relationship strained even further once Priyanka Chopra began, allegedly, dating Kareena Kapoor’s ex-boyfriend Shahid Kapoor.

Well only recently, Priyanka Chopra found herself shooting at a studio that was located in close proximity to Saif Ali Khan’s ‘Agent Vinod’ sets. Priyanka took the liberty to ‘drop in’ on the sets and even had someone take her around. She was quick to say a cordial hello to everyone around. Luckily for her, Kareena Kapoor wasn’t on the sets that day.

However, Kareena Kapoor doesn’t mind PC’s prying ways at all. She says she is only too secure about her man, who has eyes for nobody else but her. However, ask her about Priyanka Chopra meeting Saif, and she simply shrugs it off as the last thing that could be considered ‘bothersome’.

Life is hectic for Kareena Kapoor. She doesn’t even have time to meet her family and friends. “I catch up with them on the phone when commuting. It would’ve been nice to spend time with Saif (boyfriend Saif Ali Khan) at Cannes, but I have to shoot for Bodyguard. This year people are fighting for an hour of my time,” admits Kareena, who has three big releases to look forward to this year, starting with Bodyguard this Eid. The Salman Khan-starrer will be followed by the superhero fantasy film RA.One with Shah Rukh Khan that is due to release on October 26.

Her two songs from RA.One Chamak challo… and Shake my booty… have already gained popularity, but she’s quick to point out that, “they’re not item songs. One is desi dhinchak and the other is a sexy, western and groovy track.” And towards the wee end of the year, Kareena’s Bond-Bourne kind of spy thriller with Saif is due.

Agent Vinod was supposed to be a summer release. But according to her, since it’s a big action film, the stunts have taken more time. “I’ll go back to shooting it in July and it should be out by December,” she promises, refuting rumours that the film’s been delayed because she gave her dates to Reema Kagti’s film with Aamir Khan. “They’re canning the action sequences now and don’t need me. The date adjustments were made by Karan (Johar) and Atul (Agnihotri), not Saif. I’d just committed to Karan’s Short Term Shaadi with Imran Khan, when the Aamir film came along in the same week. And these two months were booked for Bodyguard.”

So, what’s it like to a festival girl? “Great!” she beams. “Last Diwali, I had a blockbuster in Golmaal 3 and then, 3 Idiots brought along plenty of Christmas cheer. Hopefully, both Eid and Diwali will be big this year with Salman and Shah Rukh. I don’t mind being No. 100 on any power list as long as I top the film lists with the best banners. And on that count, 2011 is special!”

Agent Vinod: The action-thriller story of a spy has been produced by Saif Ali Khan and directed by Sriram Raghavan. It also stars Kareena Kapoor.

Christmas
Don 2: This is Farhan Akhtar’s sequel to his 2006 film. Apart from SRK, it stars Lara Dutta and Priyanka Chopra.

Looks like Kareena Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra just have to take a swipe at each other.

The two don’t mince words when it comes to reacting to each others’ statements.

Bebo recently quipped, “I don’t think Priyanka is an actress!” When Piggy Chops was asked for a rebuttal, she coolly replied, “Everyone has their opinion, but I think Kareena is an actress.”

Yeh silsila started on Koffee With Karan where Bebo made fun of PC’s accent and the latter put the ball back in her court by saying her style of talking came from the same place as Saif Ali Khan’s!

Does PC’s thanda answer mean the cold war will now thaw? We hope not. After all, who doesn’t love a catfight.

War between Kareena Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra does not seem to end even after Piggy Chops has broken off with Bebo’s ex Shahid Kapoor.

After Priyanka’s split with Shahid, she seems to have again upset Kareena Kapoor. According to Kareena, Priyanka keeps rubbing her on the wrong side over and over again.
In fact, the duo had publicly patched up at the Mumbai Police Mela in December last year at the behest of Shah Rukh and Saif Ali Khan. Interestingly, Bebo thought that things had got sorted between the two of them, but it all started when Priyanka made a comment in a film magazine in mid-March, saying, “I don`t think Kareena likes me”. This comment left Kareena hurt to no extend.
Speaking to a newspaper, a source close to Kareena said, “Kareena was shocked when she read it. Patch-up ke baad koi aisa baat kar sakta hai? Kyun?”

However Bebo ignored reacting on it but Priyanka was not finished yet. A few days later Kareena heard Priyanka say at a recent press conference that she considers Kareena as an actress but it’s a pity that Kareena doesn`t consider her one.
“This was like hitting the roof”, the source said. “This time Kareena`s shock was compounded. Why is Priyanka raking up the past, that too with such alarming regularity? After their patch-up, Kareena has never said anything against Priyanka. In fact, she has been quite fond of her. Why is Priyanka on this unnecessary and continuous rampage of making jabs at her?”

Both the Bollywood divas were unavailable to make any comment. However we wish the two gorgeous actresses bury the hatchet soon.

Bollywood chocolate boy Shahid Kapoor, who had an unceremonious break-up with Kareena Kapoor, is still nursing the wounds of betrayal.

Apparently, Shahid, who invited all his ex-lovers to his birthday bash in a suburban lounge bar in Mumbai on 25th February, deliberately omitted Kareena from the guest list, whose name was conspicuous by her absence.

Even as Shahid and Kareena are yet to become friendly, talking to a daily, a source said, “He had invited all the girls he had been linked with in the past such as Amrita Rao, Vidya Balan and Priyanka Chopra (with whom he had split just before his bash!), but Kareena was omitted!”

Eventually, none of Shahid’s so called girlfriends turned up at his birthday bash, pleading pre-occupation.

According to a source, Vidya Balan was sick, so she couldn`t make it to the event, Amrita Rao had prior engagements and Priyanka Chopra was busy in the US.

Talking about Kareena-Shahid split, a source close to the actress said, “There are some issues that need to be sorted out. Though Shahid and Kareena are amiable to each other in public and wish each other well in life. Even Kareena wouldn`t invite Shahid to her parties so it doesn`t matter.”

“The actress was in Bhopal spending time with beau Saif Ali Khan during her ex-boyfriend`s birthday. So she wouldn`t have been able to attend the birthday party even if she had she been invited,” added the source.

Bollywood beauties Aishwarya Rai, Kareena Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra are in the run for Cosmopolitan Magazine’s fun, fearless awards, to be held in Mumbai Saturday.

The three actresses are competing in Fun, Fearless Female All Time Reader’s Choice Award this year.

Other categories include – Fun, Fearless Power Couple award, for which the nominees are – Kareena Kapoor-Saif Ali Khan; Hrithik Roshan-Sussanne Khan and Arbaaz Khan-Malaika Arora Khan.

There is also a Fun, Fearless Male 2010 Reader’s Choice Award, and Ranbir Kapoor, Shahid Kapoor, Salman Khan, and Arjun Rampal are competing for the title in this category.

The event, in its third edition now, takes place annually in India, Britain and the US.

“The Fun, Fearless Female Awards is a cult, one-of-its-kind event that celebrates all that’s iconic of the Cosmo woman – her attitude, drive, and the never-say-never spirit,” Nandini Bhalla, editor of Cosmopolitan, said in a press statement.

The organisers are expecting a star-studded turnout at the event Saturday at the Taj Land’s End, Mumbai.

“The response has been tremendous – from readers, Bollywood favourites, and the industry. The Fun Fearless Awards are a pat on the back to women (and some special men) from different areas of life-acting, music, theatre, and more.

“Last year’s awards saw a great turnout – Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Katrina Kaif, and more. And this year’s awards promise to be bigger, better, and more Cosmo than ever,” said Mala Sekhri, chief operating officer, Lifestyle Magazines, India Today Group.

Saif Ali Khan’s love and attention has surely toned down the temper and attitude of Bollywood’s fashion diva Kareena Kapoor. We got a hint of this, when Bebo was made to wait for hours by Priyanka Chopra, but all it could spark out of Bebo was a sour smile.
It all happened on Friday evening when Kareena drove down all the way from Pune to Yash Raj Studios in Mumbai for shooting her televised act for an award ceremony, only to find that the stage had been occupied by Priyanka Chopra. When Piggie Chops saw Bebo, she walked upto her and told her that she could not give the stage until 1 am (although Kareena was assigned the stage at 12 am).
Bebo was ready with make-up and hair. So, she waited patiently for sometime. However, PC continued to rehearse till 4 am, and by that time, the exhausted Kareena had left for home.
The next morning, Kareena asked her manager Zahid to cancel the shooting (with Salman for Bodyguard), which was scheduled on Saturday in Pune and then came back to the studio to finish her song.
This would normally have ignited some heated verbal spats from Kareena but this time, the lady kept her cool and later called up the organizers to complain of the inconvenience caused by their mismanagement. They explained it to her that because of some technical problems, Priyanka’s act took a longer time.
PC’s spokesperson said, “Priyanka was not aware that Bebo had to wait for hours. Not that I am aware of. Priyanka had a long act with many changes.”
