Kareena Kapoor has let down her family big time. It’s learnt that the entire Kapoor clan is cross with the actress for giving her grandfather Raj Kapoor’s event a massive ignore.

According to reliable sources, ‘The Kapoor’s were to inaugurate a function that paid tribute to the legendary Raj Kapoor. While the family was in full attendance, Bebo, who was supposed to attend this event, was conspicuous by her absence and now it is learnt that the Kapoor clan is extremely upset with Bebo for missing this big event.’

Kareena Kapoor to play Mandakini?

Bebo might play the role of the yesteryear Bollywood actress Mandakini for the sequel of Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai Ekta Kapoor is all set to make her sequel to Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai a grand affair. So after roping in Akshay Kumar to play the lead role of Dawood in the sequel, Ekta Kapoor is now planning to get in Kareena Kapoor as the female lead. Interestingly Kareena’s role will be modeled on the lines of yesteryear actress Mandakini, who was supposedly Dawood Ibrahim’s muse.

Kareena Kapoor inaugurates IIFA voting process

The voting process of the 12th International India Film Academy awards got going when Kareena Kapoor cast her first vote. She was accompanied by IIFA Advisory Board member Karan Johar and Wizcraft International Entertainment, director Sabbas Joseph. Later they were joined by Anil Kapoor, Boman Irani and Riteish Deshmukh.

Having cast the first vote, Kareena Kapoor said: “It is a great privilege that has been bestowed upon me to cast the first vote and inaugurate the 12th IIFA voting weekend. IIFA has set a high standard with its voting procedure and has hence established a benchmark for excellence and credibility. This being the IIFA’s premiere in North America, I am eagerly looking forward to the IIFA weekend in Toronto.”

SRK, Kareena shake a leg for Medvedev

The relationship that began with Raj Kapoor’s ‘Roosi topi’ still continues strong as ever, as was evident when Shah Rukh Khan and Kareena Kapoor shook a leg for Russian President Dmitry Medvedev who visited the set of the film ‘Ra.One’ at Yash Raj Studio on Wednesday evening.

Although SRK and Kareena wanted to record the song for the president to show how Indians shoot their film, security reasons prevented them from doing so. The actor told reporters “I wanted to show him the whole song but unfortunately could not do so due to security reasons.”

Kareena Kapoor gets mobbed in Russia

Kareena Kapoor has been mobbed in Russia by fans of her grandfather, the late Raj Kapoor.

The actor, producer and director became a globally popular filmmaker after the 1951 release of Awaara.

Kareena was overwhelmed by the experience of meeting his Russian fans, reports Mid Day.

“I’ve never seen so many of my grandfather’s fans in one place. They just look at my eyes, and say ‘Raj Kapoor’. I felt an instant connect.”

The actress added: “I’ve never felt more proud to be a Kapoor. It’s amazing but I’ve seen more fans of my grandfather here in Russia, in one day, than I have back home.”

Kareena to take leave for Saif’s birthday?

The latest buzz revealed that the actress might take two days leave to spend some time with her love Saif, on his birthday on Aug. 16.

Reportedly, the actress might go to Latvia, where Saif is shooting for his home production ‘Agent Vinod’.

The Kapoor family is putting final touches to an ambitious plan — they intend to revive the RK Films’ banner 11 years after they temporarily folded up operations. The banner was set by the late Raj Kapoor in 1951.

The film-maker’s eldest son Randhir Kapoor says, “We are working on it (revival of the banner). We have met a few people and we will make an announcement very soon.”

The last film produced by the banner was Aa Ab Laut Chalein in 1999. That film bombed at the box office and post that the banner was temporarily shut down.
