Aamir Khan, the perfectionist Khan with a boyish charm to his personality who plays an engineering student in Rajkumar Hirani’s upcoming flick ‘3 Idiots’ opposite sizzling hot Kareena Kapoor, has shot for a wet dance number in the film.

The buzz doing the rounds in the industry is that Aamir and Kareena has shown such a hot chemistry between them under artificial rain that Saif Ali Khan’s longest kiss in Rensil D’Silva’s upcoming flick ‘Kurbaan’ looks pale. Those in the know of things say that Aamir Khan had especially prepared himself for the number with Kareena Kapoor and the result is there for all to see.

Bollywood actor Kareena Kapoor promoted her upcoming movie ‘Kurbaan’ at a gala event here last evening.

Set in the United States, ‘Kurbaan’ is a romantic thriller with terrorism as its backdrop.

Kareena said that the film provides a balanced dose of love, intensity and emotions.

“‘Kurbaan’ is a very different kind of film, it is more like an English movie. As far as the issue of tagline is concerned, I can say that it is becausethe film contains lot of intensity and emotions, it has gritty,” said Kareena

Heard this?? Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor, the hottest pair of bollywood, who have shot for a steaming kissing sequence in the Karan Johar’s upcoming flick ‘Kurbaan’, were not the original choice for the film.

Now, it has come to light that Karan Johar had conceived the idea of making ‘Kurbaan’ around seven years back with Shah Rukh Khan and Tabu in the lead, while Sanjay Dutt was expected to enact the character of Vivek Oberoi. However, at that time Karan Johar was not that big a name as it sounds today, and so, everything did not fall in place for him and the idea of making it had to be dropped by him.

Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions has signed an exclusive worldwide distribution deal with UTV Motion Pictures for its next two releases. The deal includes theatrical, home video, overseas, satellite and all other new media distribution rights. The two films namely ‘Wake Up Sid’ and ‘Rensil D’silva’s’ untitled film are slated to release in the second half of 2009.

‘Wake Up Sid’ is directed by Ayaan Mukerji and stars Ranbir Kapoor and Konkona Sen Sharma. The music of the film has been composed by the celebrated trio Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy. Rensil D’silva’s film stars Saif Ali Khan, Kareena Kapoor and Vivek Oberoi and the music has been scored by Salim-Suleiman.

Now that Kareena Kapoor is finally going to be part of Saif Ali Khan’s production plans no stone is being left unturned to ensure her presence is justified in the Khan-produced venture.

Apparently in the beginning the leading lady’s role in Agent Vinod was relatively less substantial than Saif’s.

Says a source, “In fact Kareena wasn’t sure she wanted to do Agent Vinod because the title clearly indicated whom the film belonged to. But Saif convinced Kareena that her role would be on a par with his. Then he convinced Sriram with whom Saif has a deep rapport since they did Ek Hasina Thi together to make sure Kareena’s presence in the film is justified.”

Rensil D’Silva would be making his directorial debut with Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor. It would be a big leap from writing to direction for Rensil. Vivek Oberai too would be seen acting in the movie.

Though, title of the movie is yet to be announced but buzz is that it would be name Jihhaad. At the same time Rensil denied this rumor. “No…my film is not called Jihaad,” he said.

Talking about the movie he said “It’s a romantic thriller set against the backdrop of global terrorism.”
