Kareena Kapoor has done her most daring and steamy scene yet with beau Saif Ali Khan in Karan Johar’s Kurbaan. The first lot of pictures of her bare back and her liplock with Saif are part of the film’s initial promotions, and the reactions are flying in. Although Kareena thinks it is much ado about nothing, “Not once did I feel awkward while shooting any scene for the film. It’s always easier to shoot for romantic and passionate scenes with someone you are dating, because of the comfort level. Also I am very close to Rensil D’Silva (the director) while Karan is like family and I trusted them completely. I knew whatever they shot would come out very classy. And the poster proves that.”

After making waves across India with its scintillating promos and mesmerizing music, Kurbaan, a Dharma Productions film and a UTV Motion Pictures release directed by Rensil D’Silva, is all set to enthrall international fans on November 20 worldwide and November 19 in the Middle East.

The leading cast of the film, Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor, along with producer Karan Johar will embark on a 3-city tour of London, Dubai and New York to promote Kurbaan. These visits will give their fans an interesting insight into the movie.

Kareena Kapoor has said that she expects Kurbaan to be a hit with both critics and audiences.

Kapoor claimed that the Rensil D’Silva film will portray her in a different light to her last role in Kambakkht Ishq.

She told IANS: “I am so confident that in Kurbaan, audiences will take to my character in a big way.

“The girl’s role is very strong in Kurbaan and I have worked really hard on my performance. I’m expecting a lot from the film.”

Kurbaan, which is scheduled for release on November 27, also stars Saif Ali Khan and Vivek Oberoi.

The director-producer Karan Johar once again signed her favourite and lucky actress Kajol Devgan for his new venture ‘Stepmom’.

According to the sources, Karan has also hired Bollywood hot babe Kareena Kapoor for ‘Stepmom’.

It will be second time when the duo will be seen together on silver screen. Previously they were seen together in a superhit movie “Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham” in 2001. The movie was also directed by Karan Johar.

Sources reveal that Kajol and Kareena have been finalised for Karan Johar’s forthcoming film and the shooting will start when actors will get free from their ongoing projects.

Recently Dharma Productions’ “Qurbaan”, starring Saif Ali Khan and Kareeena Kapoor, had to shoot a scene in Pune. However producer Karan Johar had to cancel the shooting because he did not want to expose his cast and crew to any potential danger.

It is reported that the crew were at Pune waiting for our Chote Nawab and Bebo. The duo was supposed to leave on August 7 but because of the Swine flu scare,  the production unit decided to cancel the shoot and postpone it to a later day.

SAYS the fashion diva just elected the only woman in Filmfare’s Top 10 Power List, “It’s an exciting phase in my life when so many things rushed down on me at the same time. The last year was a turning-point in my life. But the end-result is happy. Both professionally and emotionally, I think I’ve come out a winner. If the grapevines are to be correct, Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan are both playing terrorists in Rensil D’Silva’s next. More recently, rumors were flying around tinseltown, that the untitled movie was finally being named Jeehad. However, D’Silva put those rumors to rest, “No… my film is not called Jihaad. It’s a name that the media seems to have given the film but it’s not the official title.”

He did however, confirm that the movie was set in the surroundings of terrorism, “It’s a romantic thriller set against the backdrop of global terrorism… can’t reveal plot points or character sketches at this point of time.” Over 40% of the movie has been shot in Philadelphia, Delhi and currently ongoing in Mumbai.

Last week, when both were shooting for Rensil D’ Silva’s untitled debut film (produced by Karan Johar) in Delhi, a huge crowd kept gathering until the administration brought things under control. Says a unit member, “Last Sunday, when Saif and Kareena started shooting for Rensil’s film at India Gate at 7 am, it was reasonably peaceful and empty.
