Saif Ali Khan gave a winsome performance at the Chevrolet Global India Music Awards GIMA 2010. Like a true rockstar, the actor enthralled the audience with his guitar. His ladylove danced to racy Bollywood tracks bringing the house down. Kareena Kapoor’s film 3 Idiots bagged maximum number of awards in film category.

The awards night was a grand gala with many musicians, singers and music composers who all came together to make it a big occasion. The legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar was given GIMA Lifetime Achievement Award. Salman Khan, Ritesh Deshmukh, Sonakshi Sinha added Bollywood razzmatazz to the event.

Strong reports suggest that Kareena Kapoor and Madhur Bhandarkar, who had decided to start work on Heroine, may not end up doing the film together — at least not yet.

Though earlier Bebo was very excited about her association with Madhur, who is fantastic with women-oriented subjects, a source says, “The first round of stories suggested that Madhur was making a film based on the life of Hollywood sex symbol Marilyn Monroe. Later, others suggested he was doing a Sunset Boulevard kind of a film. As the speculations continued, it turned out that Kareena had not even had a complete story narration.”

It’s not Katrina Kaif but Kareena Kapoor who will star opposite Salman Khan in Siddiqui’s Bodyguard. The film was originally made in Malayalam by Siddiqui who is presently remaking the Tamil version with Asin in the lead role.

The news was confirmed by producer Atul Agnihotri, who says that the director from the South always wanted Kareena as she fitted the role of a college student pursuing her MBA perfectly. This was after he spotted her in 3 Idiots. As for the news of Katrina Kaif starring in the film, Agnihotri dismissed it as speculation.

Salman’s next film with Siddiqui ‘Bodyguard’ was officially announced recently, and there was a lot of buzz, as speculations were rife as to who would be Salman’s arm candy. But it’s official now. Kareena will star opposite Salman in the remake of the Malayalam box-office hit film ‘Bodyguard’.

Salman’s sister Alvira and her husband Atul Agnihotri, who bought the Bollywood
rights of the Malayalam film, have signed Kareena for the film as they always felt that she would be apt to play the female lead, which was played by South-Indian actress Nayantara in the original version.
