Ms Kareena Kapoor, 30, is known as the actress who triggered the size zero phenomenon in India.

In the 2008 film Tashan, the Bollywood A-list actress, almost overnight, dropped 8kg to 48kg for a bikini scene that ultimately became the most talked-about part of the film.

The 1.65m-tall actress continued to look thinner and thinner, evoking the envy of young Indian women and the concern of others.

‘Every girl wants to be really slim and I think I am quite slim,’ the actress famously said in an interview. ‘India’s size zero is associated with me and I am proud of that.’
