Kareena Kapoor had to wake up at an unearthly 3.30 am and board a flight to Goa with friends director Lovely Singh and Tusshar Kapoor.

Bebo was in Mumbai to complete the patch work on the Hindi version of Step Mom, and then she had to fly to Goa really early because another unit was waiting for her to start shooting.

Naturally, one spotted her rubbing sleep from her eyes as she boarded her plane.

Everyone knows that Kareena Kapoor is one of Tusshar Kapoor’s best friends. So it came as no surprise when the actor held a special screening of a film for Bebo.

The actress, looking cool and casual in a blue tee-shirt and distressed jeans, walked in with boyfriend Saif Ali Khan by her side.

Tusshar himself was there, making sure his friends were well looked after. Tusshar’s other best friend Lovely Singh also attended the screening.

Kareena Kapoor will be playing a tomboy character for the first time in Golmaal 3, being directed by Rohit Shetty.

It is learnt that while the director was writing the story, he decided to give Kareena’s typically glamorous image a break in the film and offer her an unusual part. He didn’t want her to do the glam doll act once again. He wanted her to be part of the gang of boys comprising Ajay Devgn, Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor, Kunal Khemu and Shreyas Talpade.

With the recent uproar about her figure and weight loss, a quick peek was taken at her plate. Expecting to see little to nothing there, or perhaps nothing but a handful of salad greens, they were quite surprised to see that Kapoor was certainly eating well.

The Kapoor lady finds Kunal a good actor and has recommended him to director Rohit Shetty for the third sequel of ‘Golmaal’. And Bebo is already on board for the same film.

‘Golmaal 3’ will roll soon and has a fantastic star cast like the original. If Kunal is finalized, he can share screen space with Ajay Devgan, Tusshar Kapoor, Shreyas Talpade, Arshad Warsi and Mithun Chakraborty. And this break could be a golden chance for the boy who still has to get his share of success in Bollywood.

Kareena Kapoor will break the jinx on leading ladies being a part of Bollywood sequels. In fact Bipasha Basu had recently commented on this regressive trend of getting fresh female faces for every sequel after she was declared out of Race. She had even threatened to ‘kill’ Rohit Shetty if he didn’t sign her for All The Best 2.

Rohit Shetty isn’t sure if he’s been scared by the mock-threat into signing Bipasha for the All The Best 2 in 2011.

But Kareena Kapoor is back in Gol Maal 3 which starts shooting in April 2010 and will be release next year Diwali.

Tusshar Kapoor’s gravitation towards B-grade rom-coms hasn’t gone amiss with critics. But with his poor film choices not impacting negatively on his fan- base, he doesn’t seem to mind the denigration. On a high over his last offering, Life Partner, Kapoor is already drumming up hype around his next film.

In a chat with Bollywood Hungama, he said: “My next release will be Run Bhola Run, which is directed by Neeraj Vora. My co-stars are Govinda, Ameesha and Celina Jaitley. The film is releasing on January 22.”
